Context Preceptor training is designed to provide instruction on preceptorship, an overview of athletic program processes, and preceptor professional development. Preceptors generally do not have formal how be educators. Most occurs at the institutional level, with content, frequency, delivery discretion institution. Objective Investigate preceptors' perceptions prepares them for using clinical teaching models can improved. Design Concurrent mixed methods. Setting Web-based survey virtual semistructured interviews. Patients or Other Participants One hundred sixty-five preceptors (average 10 ± 9 years preceptorship experience) completed survey. Ten participants (4 male, 6 female) participated in interviews 12 experience). Data Collection Analysis Surveys were dispersed via Qualtrics, recorded Zoom. The χ2 test independence determined if any relationships existed between experience, type training, used. A phenomenological approach inquiry was used analyze interview data.
